SPX FLOW Sponsors Junior Achievement's New JA Finance Park®

Junior Achievement's Big Reveal Ceremony Kicks Off New Charlotte Facility

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SPX FLOW, Inc. (NYSE: FLOW) today proudly announced its sponsorship of Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas' (JACC) SPX FLOW JA Finance Park® as part of a larger ceremony at the grand opening of the Paragon Bank Opportunity HQ at Camp North End in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The new Paragon Bank Opportunity HQ will enable JACC, together with its sponsors, partners, schools and volunteers, to train and inspire more than 600,000 students by the year 2030 through its JA Finance Park® and JA BizTown® programs, which foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.

Marc Michael, SPX FLOW's President and CEO, said, "We are extremely pleased to expand our long-standing support of JACC and its vision to inspire and prepare young people for success.  In addition to our sponsorship of the new JA Finance Park®, our team is excited to work with students and help them learn about career opportunities and managing their personal finances.  We believe that giving students the opportunity to learn and apply their knowledge in a simulated, real world experience empowers them to believe in themselves and make positive choices later in life."

Junior Achievement's JA Finance Park® program is its newest experiential simulation.  It is a month-long program that introduces 10th grade students to personal financial planning.  At the culmination of this teacher-led program, students across the greater Charlotte area visit the SPX FLOW JA Finance Park®, a realistic on-site setting, staged as a modern urban market with 15 themed storefronts.  Through a digitally-led experience, the students practice what they learned in the classroom by developing and committing to a personal budget.

One of the storefronts at the SPX FLOW JA Finance Park® features SPX FLOW's food and beverage process technology and promotes investing in high nutrient meals and a healthy diet when dining out.

"Philanthropy is an important aspect of our culture at SPX FLOW and an underlying element of our purpose to help feed and enhance the world to support the growth and sustainability of our diverse communities.  In Charlotte, we have a specific mission to invest in a brighter future for the youth in our community with focused efforts supporting Junior Achievement, the YMCA Y Readers program and Nations Ford Elementary School," said Marc Michael

"SPX FLOW has been a long-time partner of JACC. We are so grateful they share our vision and understand the value of preparing high school students for their futures by developing valuable financial literacy and workforce preparedness skills. We are delighted to introduce the new SPX FLOW JA Finance Park® to the community. SPX FLOW's commitment to philanthropy is changing the face of Charlotte and we're extremely proud to be the vehicle through which they do so," said Sarah Cherne, President & CEO of Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas.
